Maddox kept bringing rocks home.

Big ones. Strange ones. Fossils, chert, jasper, and anything that looked like it might have a story hiding inside.

Instead of saying “that’s enough rocks,” his family helped him clean them, research them, cut some open—and build Missouri Mining Company.

The company may sell rocks. The real product is the moment a kid becomes curious.
